A Kingdom Education Where God is the Center of Everything

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Rise Academy is a Kingdom education center — we place God at the center of everything we do. Our focus isn’t just on what children learn, but on who they are becoming in Christ. Every child is nurtured spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually through a Christ-centered, hands-on approach.

Kingdom Education means we teach from a biblical worldview, recognizing that God is the author of truth and the source of all wisdom. Scripture like Habakkuk 2:14 reminds us that the world is filled with God’s glory — and our school helps children see and live that truth.

Faith is not an add-on — it's our foundation. Each day includes:
  • Prayer and worship
  • Bible reading and discussion
  • Christ-centered values in how we treat others, learn, and grow.
Verses like Ephesians 2:10 and Galatians 2:20 guide us in teaching children who they are in Christ and the good works they are called to.
We believe children are more important than what is being taught. That means we focus on:
  • What children enjoy
  • What they can do
  • How they learn best
  • Encouraging creativity and curiosity
Our approach is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and full of joy.

No — we aim to develop the whole child. This includes spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth. We want every child to rise in their God-given potential — confident, compassionate, and capable.

Our foundational scriptures include:
  • Habakkuk 2:14 – God’s glory covering the earth
  • Ephesians 2:10 – We are God’s handiwork
  • Luke 18:16 – Let the children come to Jesus
  • 1 Peter 2:9 – We are chosen and set apart
  • Galatians 2:20 – Christ lives in us

These verses remind us that every child is deeply loved, uniquely gifted, and called to live a bold life in Christ.

“Every child. Every day. In Jesus’ Name.” This reminds us that every moment is a ministry — an opportunity to speak life, build faith, and show love.

Yes. We will follow the Indiana State Standards for core academic subjects including math, reading, and language arts. Our students will receive a solid academic foundation that meets state requirements and prepares them for future success.

In addition to state standards, we will use a Christian curriculum to teach Bible and integrate faith throughout the school day. Our approach blends academic excellence with spiritual growth, providing students with a well-rounded, Christ-centered education.
Yes, consistent attendance is required — children cannot learn and grow if they are not present. That said, we also believe in giving families the freedom to plan meaningful time together. After all, you are investing in your child’s education.

We ask families to be thoughtful about absences. Occasional days off for family activities or special events are understandable, but regular attendance is essential for your child’s success — both academically and spiritually.

Our heart is to partner with parents while emphasizing the value of commitment, responsibility, and consistency in your child’s education.

No. Rise Academy is a private Christian school, not part of the public school system. We offer a multi-level, one-room classroom environment, which allows for individualized attention, peer learning, and a strong sense of community.

Our setting reflects a more traditional, small-school model — much like early American classrooms — where students of different ages can learn together, grow in faith, and support one another.

Yes. Rise Academy will use grades and regular assessments to track each child’s academic progress. This helps us understand how students are growing and where they may need more support or challenge.

However, we will not participate in state-mandated standardized testing like traditional public schools. Our focus is on meaningful, individualized evaluation rather than high-pressure testing. We believe learning should be measured by growth, not just by scores.

We’re excited to begin our first year on August 11 with a special kickoff week called RISE CAMP. This will be a half-day week focused on getting to know our students, building relationships, and establishing our school culture.

Regular classes will begin August 18.

Here’s what a typical week looks like:
  • Days: Monday – Thursday
  • Doors Open: 7:30 AM
  • Instruction Begins: 9:00 AM
  • Dismissal: 2:00 PM

We believe in a focused four-day week that supports family balance and quality learning. For the most part, we will follow the Paoli School System calendar for breaks and holidays.
